N. Jakarta Distributes Logistical Aid for Lodan Raya Fire Victims

North Jakarta Mayor, Syamsudin Lologau, Sunday (6/8) visited fire victim at Kampung Walang, the densely populated area, Jl. Lodan Raya,  RW 02, Ancol Urban Village, Pademangan.

In that chance, he also gave logistical aid such as blankets and school uniforms to the victims symbolically.

"I hope parents to encourage their children to go to school. They have to go to school," he affirmed.

He explained, his side has instructed related UKPD to list the victim's needs and fulfill it.

"Especially children's school needs. It must be ensured how many children need school uniforms," he mentioned.

North Jakarta Social Sub-dept. Head, Aji Antoko stated, his side has responded to the disaster by distributing 1,000 food packages every day for fire victims in the past three days.

"Currently we have built two big tents and distribute 500 instant food packages every afternoon and late afternoon," he informed.

He explained, his side has distributed 20 mattresses, 12 kid ware packages, 18 packages for elders, 60 clothes packages, 100 blankets, 60 elementary school uniforms, 20 junior high school uniforms, 10 high school uniforms, and 100 toiletries packages.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head, Satriadi Gunawan mentioned, there were 150 semi permanent houses burnt due to fire incident on Sunday (8/26) dawn.

There is no casualties or victim with serious injuries. Loses due to fire incident is about Rp 500 million and 200 families are homeless.

"Allegedly fire occurred due to short circuit. We deploy 16 units of firefighters to extinguish the fire," he informed.
